Today I am reminded of the power of new habits.  First I noticed that I have developed a new habit easily because I attached it to an old established habit.  Something that I had been intending to make a habit just wouldn’t “stick”.  At least, not until I attached it to my well-established “could-do-it-in-my-sleep” preparation for my morning walk.  Now that I’ve added my new habit, it has “stuck” within a week.

The other reminder of the power of habits came from my client today, who showed that it is possible to make major changes to seriously ingrained habits.  Not only is it possible to change the unhelpful habits of a lifetime, but it’s equally possible to have a positive attitude about it.  And that really made my day.
