Onwards with our National Organising Week Declutter Challenge. Day 2 brings us to …
Your Linen Press.
Let’s assume there are towels, bedlinen, facewashers, teatowels, bath mats, beach towels, spare blankets and tablecloths in your linen press. In reality I know there’s lots more variety. I’ve seen gifts, sewing machines, camping equipment and pet food stored in linen presses over the years. I store tools and lightbulbs in mine. But for the purpose of this exercise, let’s concentrate on those things you would normally expect to find in a linen press.
Find 5 items you don’t use, need or love. Declutter those.
Now, what to do with your cast-offs? The great thing about most linen press finds is that they are absorbent. They make great cleaning rags. They also make wonderful pet bedding. If you don’t have a pet, the RSPCA or your local vet would love to have your donation. Auto mechanics also need absorbent rags.
