A few weeks ago I was thrilled to receive the 2014 AAPO President’s Award. I mean really thrilled. It’s an award presented to one person each year who has made a significant contribution to AAPO and the organising industry in Australasia.
As an industry veteran, I am privileged to work with, train and mentor organisers. Many of them have the dedication, drive and talent that gives them the potential to be a President’s Award recipient of the future. It’s wonderful to recognise and celebrate integrity and professionalism, whether that brings awards or simply a sense of pride.
