Helping Our Grieving Clients
Tuesday 22 August
7:30 pm-8:15 pm
When we come across clients who have suffered loss and are grieving, it’s hard to know how we can help. We need to understand the challenges they face and how we can help them in the most sensitive and effective way. Julie Jensen, therapeutic counsellor and a specialist bereavement counsellor from Changes in Between, will help us do just that.
In this class you’ll hear about
- Changes over the life span
- Common definitions in loss and grief
- Common myths about loss and grief
- Criticism of traditional grief theory
- Factors influencing grief
- Grief reactions
- Tips for working with the grieving
- Bringing it all together
