The other day on Twitter, the call went out. I could hear the desperation in her voice. On Twitter you learn quickly to get your message across in 140 characters or less. Here’s how the exchange went.
Her: Need time mgmt tips – kids, house, writing, posting, yawn. Someone point me in the right direction
Me: Happy to help. Fire away with questions. 🙂
Her: ugh I wouldn’t even know where to start. I need a timetable drawn up so I stop wandering aimlessly not getting much done!!
Me: That’s a great start. In fact, start with logging how you spend your time now, to highlight the wasters. Then edit. 🙂
Her: Brilliant tip thx! Just need to get organised enough to log how i am spending my time now…
Me: happy to help!
Perhaps you’d like to give logging your time a try. It’ll highlight where you’re spending your time. Then you can make some informed decisions about the value of that time spent.
While you’re at it, give Twitter a try. It’s a great way to connect with others in business, share ideas and have some fun. Just watch how you’re spending that time! Start by following me here. 🙂
