I’m pleased to have Sharon McWilliams from All Things Organised share her wisdom and experience about Estate Organisation in today’s guest blog post.
I was chatting with a lady in regards to Estate Organising and she asked me why I was so passionate about it?
Sadly, my passion comes from the realisation that came to me after the unfortunate sudden passing several years ago of my beloved Uncle who had been the Father figure in my life.
Whilst dealing with the shock and grief that comes with such a life changing event, we had to sort out his affairs, organise his funeral and everything else that was needed at the time all whilst trying to hold our “day to day” lives together.
My Uncle was a very organised man who had a place for everything and everything in its place. He was a numbers man therefore Excel was his friend and he had spreadsheets for many things in his life!
Even though he was so organised it was a very difficult time for us. This made me realise how hard and time consuming this would be for those who are not organised people and even more so, if the person who has passed away didn’t have their affairs in order.
The thing is, I know you aren’t going to be here to worry about it, however if you can make it as simplistic and organised as possible for the people left behind this can save a great deal of time, stress and worry for them.
A lot of people think that as long as they have a current Will and maybe a Funeral Plan and Life Insurance they are sorted. However, there are so many things that you don’t even think of that need to be dealt with.
I now offer a service to people to help them have a system in place that will eliminate as much of the “sorting out” dramas that goes along with the inevitable.
Please have a look at Sharon’s website and contact her to find out more. She is always happy to have a chat with you about it.
