There’s wild weather about where I live. I was in a meeting in a large office building today when the power cut out. Not even the backup generators worked. Our meeting had to be cut short. Fortunately the building supervisors were well-prepared and everyone exited the building safely.
Are you prepared for an emergency? Would you know where to find candles and matches, or a torch with working batteries? Are emergency phone numbers handy? These include the local hospital, power and gas companies and plumber as well as emergency services. Does your phone rely on power? Does your family/workplace have an evacuation plan? Is it practiced twice a year?
