Have you been hit with the one of the most frequently asked question at this time of year yet?
Have you done all your shopping yet?
In case you, or someone you know, are struggling with that, here’s a rundown of some excellent last minute clutter-free gifts. I’ve delved into my archives and found a few ideas that have served me well over the years.
- Heartfelt Words – done right, these can have the power to inspire and encourage all year long. Read how here. I have used this myself this year, for my 5 month old granddaughter’s advent calendar. She’s too young for chocolates. But she’s not too young to have loving words poured on her.
- Pampering – here’s an article I wrote about some options for both men and women.
- Participation – this one is especially good for anyone who might be overshopping due to loneliness or sadness. Unfortunately I’ve seen this all too often with my clients. Read how you can help someone feel loved as well as fulfilled.
- Food – you can never miss with food. And it’s so easy to pick something up at the last minute. Here are some suggestions.
- Donations – sometimes it’s nice to think of others, especially at this time of year. If you know someone’s passion or preferred charity, maybe a donation to that cause would put a smile on their face. Just make sure the donation benefits them and not you. In my household, we support World Vision. (Disclaimer: the link is there purely to satisfy SEO, and not meant as a request for payment. Please feel free to add your own charitable causes in a comment below. 🙂 )
