Today’s the day. Today I took over as President of AAPO, the Australasian Association of Professional Organisers, my industry association. I’m looking forward to the challenge of leading a great team, growing our association and delivering value for members. I can’t do it without the executive committe and sub-committees to support me, as well as AAPO’s VA (Virtual Assistant). I also can’t do it without reassigning some of the tasks I’ve been responsible for in the past. I am not blind to the fact I’ll have plenty to do. Good planning and execution will be key to my being able to achieve my goals.
These are modern times and, with members and committee members spread over such a vast area, technology has to play a big part in bringing us closer together. Just today I was speaking with people from New Zealand to Perth. Although we use technology to communicate, in the end it’s all about people. People connecting, working together. And that’s what I’m most excited about – connecting and working with all those passionate people who make up AAPO.
Go Angela! 🙂
