Pets pick us up when we are down. They share love and make us feel happy to walk in the door at the end of a tough day. Pets teach us about acceptance, about life and about organising. Yes, organising! Organising pets and pet supplies is just like any other kind of organising.
Life is better when it’s organised. When you can find things easily, from a leash to a ball to the food, life runs more smoothly. I don’t know of a better example of the phrase “A place for everything, and everything in its place” than the kitty litter tray.
In this edition of Organising Wisdom, I’m pleased to share posts about ranging from what we can learn from pets, to moving house when you’re a dog owner, to organising pet supplies, and organising a pet party. There are simple tips, and even a laugh, because I couldn’t resist. Thanks to my colleagues for sharing their wisdom. What’s your favourite pet organising trick?

Simple Pet Organising Tips
Put important dates into your diary so you never forget, and your pet doesn’t suffer. These could include – when to worm, vet checkups, grooming appointments, when to clean the fish tank.
Be really careful about human medications around animals. Keep them out of reach in their own designated spot.
Just like with your own errands, you can arrange to get help from a concierge, or even a dedicated dog concierge, to help organise your pets. If you don’t have time to take them to be clipped, or for a walk, or to pick up food, you can delegate to get things done.
