When I tell people I’m a Professional Organiser they invariably ask what my house is like. They assume that it’s super organised. I like my home to function well but I’m definitely not a minimalist. I share my home with my son and gorgeous dog, Maya. Surrounding myself with things that we’ve inherited, created and collected makes me very happy.
I started working as a Professional Organiser in 2006 and have helped hundreds of people to declutter and create routines and systems so they can live more comfortably in the space that they have. At the same time, I have been actively involved in building the industry and raising the standard of service through professional development. I am the only Australian Professional Organiser to hold the prestigious international designations of Certified Professional Organizer® and CPO-CD®. I am also keenly interested in hoarding and have received Specialist Certificates in Hoarding, Chronic Disorganisation and ADHD from the Institute for Challenging Disorganization.
A lot of people are afraid that their home will be the worst I’ve ever seen, but I haven’t seen anything that has scared me yet! My services are completely confidential, non-judgemental (except when I’m working with my own family so I avoid that!), motivating, and while decluttering isn’t everyone’s idea of fun, there always seems to be a lot of laughs along the way.
