So here’s my interview with Renee…
Angela: Tell me Renee, how did you get into the work you do?
Renee: I started in lingerie because I couldn’t find nice bras that accommodated my big breasts! It really just evolved and grew quite easily. I combined my business background with my love for lingerie and designed a business that works for me and my clients.
Angela: You’re a busy lady with lots on the go. So how is it that you stay on top of it all?
Renee: For me having a to do list is crucial because otherwise I fluff about and don’t get any real work done! Don’t make it too long because I find that I feel disappointed if I haven’t done everything. I start by doing the hard thing first or the one I really don’t want to do because then the rest is easy.
Angela: What tasks do you delegate?
Renee: Bookkeeping, some website stuff, graphics and editing.
Angela: I always ask people. what’s your favourite iPhone app?
Renee: Why the Fine lines Bra Fitting App of course 🙂
Angela: Of course! I know you worked hard on that and it’s been revolutionary in the lingerie industry. Well done! Do you use a paper or electronic diary?
Renee: Paper, always! I like highlighting them when I have done them.
Angela: Oh yes, marking things off is very satisfying. Another question I like to ask is how many pairs of shoes do you own?
Renee: I LOVE shoes but I don’t have a lot. Instead of buying heaps I invest in the ones I do buy. They are really good and really different.
Angela: Wise woman. Now what do you find is the hardest thing about getting or staying organised?
Renee: For me in business it was that transition where you really need to delegate but you can’t afford to! Now I find that 20% of my to do list does 80% of the work.
Angela: Ooh, nice. Do you have a favourite organising tool?
Renee: I love a mindmap!
Angela: I’m not surprised. You are so creative and productive. Renee, if you could be or do anything, what would it be?
Renee: I wouldn’t want to be anything or anyone else, I love my life….and myself 🙂
Angela: Love that. What does your ideal weekend look like?
Renee: I have nothing on, I am hanging out with my girls and with my gorgeous man having fun.
Angela: Great. Sounds wonderful. Have you got a mid-week time-saving recipe to share with us?
Renee: I love healthy quick meals! Quinoa is a fav of mine and i love Jamie Oliver’s 15 minute meals recipe book.
Angela: Thanks so much for taking the time to share your organising tips and a couple of secrets, Renee.
